THIS YEAR HIGHTLIGHT-WRITING

This year in year 6 we got to experience a lot of interesting things. One of my biggest highlights was Athletics day because it was a nice hot day and so much fun hanging out with my friends. It was a cool day especially doing our house chant when we walked around to our next activity.

My second highlight was playing Rugby for our school. I got to represent my family, myself, school and community on the fields. My friends and I got tries during the season. It was the best time being out of class to play rugby for the day.

My third highlight for the year was being in the Tongan fiafia group. Our teachers taught us a cool as dance. We performed on a big stage outside under Te Kapua. My family came and watched me perform. It was at night and there was heaps of people standing and sitting under Te Kapua. FiaFia was a fun experience getting to perform our culture in front of our school, family, friends and community.

Overall, this year has been a fun year. I will miss my year 6 teachers and all the fun activities we got to do.

School Picnic

27th March 2023

Point England Picnic

First we went to our team assembly. We checked our stuff to see if we had our water bottle, food and our hats. Then we had to go to the school assembly under Te Kapua.

Next we walked  to the Pt England beach. Then we put our bags away. After that we went to play.

I didn’t go for a swim because I forgot my togs. I played rippa rugby with my friends. I didn’t eat lunch because I had a big morning tea.

Finally, we all walked back to school and then we all went home.

I felt happy because it was fun.
